Neulich beim Hugendubel schlendere ich an den Auslagen mit den englischen Büchern vorbei – und dachte mir so, ich müsste mein Englisch unbedingt verbessern. Was wäre denn, wenn ich mal wieder ein Buch auf Englisch lese? Kurzerhand habe ich nun zu diesem hier gegriffen. Der Klappentext klang interessant, in den Rezensionen wurde das Buch gut bewertet, und in den sozialen Medien hatte ich es schon öfter gesehen.
Eine tolle Geschichte, die mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Das Englisch konnte ich gut verstehen und hatte nicht das Gefühl, etwas zu verpassen. Toll fand ich die Entwicklung zwischen Scarlett und Julian. Am Ende war es wirklich die Frage, was ist real und was ist nur ein Spiel? Sehr aufregend und spannend.
Scarlett hat mir gut gefallen, wie sie trotz großer Sorge in ihre Schwester langsam an Selbstvertrauen gewinnt. Und klar, gibt es ein paar Wendungen, manche hat man erahnt, andere waren überraschend. Die Geschichte ist abgeschlossen, aber der Epilog verspricht einen interessanten 2. Band.
